InsuLine Medical Ltd

Co-founder VP R&D. Insuline medical is an Israeli publicly listed company (INSL.TA) focused on developing solutions that will enable patients to better treat and manage their disease. First area of application is insulin injection therapy. Developed products include smart diabetes management systems involving smart add-on device, diseases personal management application and disease management application for health care provider in the cloud . Additional technology developed is injection site treatment technology to improve the effectiveness of subcutaneous drug delivery. Responsibilities include R&D management, Patents strategy and patent writing, product development and manufacturing, Clinical studies, Regulation, FDA submission, marketing and business development. The work involved both working with in-house staff and subcontractors.

  • 2014-present

ImagineBit Ltd.

Owner.

ImagineBit is focused on development of technologies for smart management based on data collected from sensors and analyzed in smartphone applications or dedicated processors. Projects include development of a smart life-jacket and smart cases for patients on biological drug injection therapy.

  • 2006-2007

Glucon Medical Ltd.

CTO.

Responsibility included defining the company technological needs and new products as well as R&D guidance.

  • 2004-2006

Glucon Medical Ltd.

Simulation and modeling group leader.

In this capacity I led the simulation and modeling group.

The responsibilities of the modeling and simulation group, involved the understanding and development of the measurement method for non-invasive glucose monitoring.

  • 2001-2004

Glucon Medical Ltd.

Senior Researcher.

My main responsibilities were: developing the photoacoustic simulation.

Building several in-vitro systems to characterize optical and acoustical properties of biological fluids. Performing In-vitro measurements of optical and acoustical properties of blood under different conditions.

2000- 2001

Oak Ridge National Laboratory Research staff member, leader of the optics group.

The group had three main projects:

  1. i) Broad area diode lasers: Understanding and development of methods to control and synchronize the output radiation from broad area diode lasers bar using external injection and self-coupling for lock-in mechanism.  The object of the research was to achieve a high power coherent radiation from broad area diode lasers bar. I have supervised the work of a student who carried the lab measurements.

  2. ii) Quantum optics: Development of a new type of ultra-bright entangled photon source, the process involved frequency down conversion of femtoseconds laser pulses in non-linear crystals.

  3. iii) Optical computing: Development of optical modules for solving partial differential equations. The aim of the work was to develop an ultra fast dedicated processor where some of the computations are performed using optical modules. My task was to design and build a feasibility prototype which will demonstrate the concept.
